Anniversary Album for a friend

Hello Crafty People, I had a chance to make a anniversary album for a friend, this was my first attempt at making one and I thoroughly enjoyed making all the bits and pieces of the same. A Heart on the cover page was on demand and I chose to make it this way. This is the back of the album.. some of the pages from the album  Some tags for journaling... That's how the last page looks like.. The 1st anniversary pic goes in between all these lovely flowers.. :) I hope you all liked my first attempt at making an album .. Love! First DT post for Kukies Basket

Hi All the Creative peeps, As you all know that I'm a DT for Kukies Basket, it's an amazing journey where we showcase a lot of projects made by the DT members. For this month,  knocking on our heads was the Tim Holtz sewing die and we had to make something using it. Some things which can be made using the die are cards, tags, incorporating in some journals/mixed media to name a few. I chose to make a card using the same. Since Women's day just passed by the corner, I decided to use the same theme to make a 'U r special' Card. It's my acknowledgement to all the pretty crafting ladies out here who are soo talented in every aspect of their lives and manages everything that comes along their way in an amazing way. Now for some inspirations I  have always loved the flowing gowns and they are soo cute, hence this is what I made with the die. I had to cut some lower portion of the die to suit to my needs and then made a fan out of the pp and stuct it to t

Handmade Paper Lanterns

Hi Friends, A trip to homecenter wanted me to rush back home and try out an idea which had clicked me which checking out the home decor items in there. I was hooked on to a table lamp with pierced holes and it was too good to look at. I thought about my own version of lalterns and table tops for candles for all types of occasions, be it B'day parties, candle light dinners or simply for a relaxed evening with some good soothing music and colored light emancipating from the cute candle holders. Here's what I diged at making as soon as I was home and I simply loved making these. I made a parsley on one and a flower shape on the other, and this flower shape happens to be of one of the stamps set I got. I simple love this one :) Don't they look cute ??/ They can really jazz up your living space.. and with awesome bright full colors, they are a sure winner.. One good thing is that there can be various colors embedded with the candle flames p

I love putting them on my projects, they do take the look to a higher level.  Here's a detailed flower.... I have kept it quite simple and just added a layer of the same flower on to the top of to add dimension to it.  I had fun making these. Somehow quilling is such a relaxing way to energies yourself as well as make something truly amazing out of the paper stripes :) Isnt quilling fun ??? Of all the 22 comments of appreciation and congratulations received, it gave me a hard time to decide and pick a winner, so to ease out my dilemma, I asked my husband to pick out a random number from 1 till 22 and I'm so glad that he helped me !!! So the number he picked out was 19 which is this comment from Alka " Congrats Manu.. u r doing awesome work dear....count me in for the treat :)" Congratulations Alka, Please send me your postal address within 2 days.
